Inky the Octopus By  Erin Guendelsberger Publish: 3rd April 2018 Genre : Children Edition : PDF (via NetGalley) Source : Free Pages : 32 My Rating : 5/5 Goodreads rating : 4.45/5 Read : February 2018 Hello, people here I am again! These days I am ruling my Mum's blog! ( sorry mum! But not sorry hahaha ). The book I am presenting today is about the real story of an octopus that escaped from New Zealand Aquarium in 2016. The author tried to recreate the story and gave her personal touch with a bit of imagination the escape.  I really enjoyed listening to the story that's why I asked mum to accept to be part of the Inky the Octopus The Blog Tour that is going on from 26th of March to 13th of April. The story is really nice and the book is written like it is a song... in verses. And the drawings!!! Full of colour and really good! I was actually wanting that the octopus could escape and I was so happy when I realised that he manage

Mr. Wolf's Pancakes By  Jan Fearnley Published : 30th November 2017 Genre : Children Edition : Paperback Source : Bought Pages : 32 My Rating : 5/5 Goodreads rating : 5/5 Read : February 2018 As in Little Red Reading Hood, this is a different way of telling the classic story of The Three Little Pigs.  Imagine a sad Wolf that he only wanted to make some pancakes. However, he did not know how to read or bake them. He asked for help and no one helped... so his true colours showed to everybody....! Price Amazon : £5.99 Waterstones : £5.99 Foyles : £6.99 WHSmith : £5.24 Conclusion So scary but I loved it. Mum told me that everybody has a dark side and that's true. This poor wolf was sad because no one helped him, they were afraid... and at the end he got scary! Guys... little book worms... when reading or listening to this story please cuddle with your mum! This is scary!!!!! But Ioved it!

Little Red Reading Hood By  Lucy Rowland Published : 25rd January 2018 Genre : Children, Classics Edition : Paperback Source : Bought Pages : 36 My Rating : 5/5 Goodreads rating : 4.46/5 Read : March 2018 Imagine one of the most iconic stories of all times... One that no one needs to read it to know how to tell to their kids.... now imagine that someone had an idea and decided to re-tell the story in a comic way.... Of course there are no spoilers around. All of us knows how the story ends... or is that not true?  Anyway.  This new Little Red loves to read which is something that any bookworm loves to hear... already convinced? No? Well... the drawings are astounishing!!! Mum... Stop writing and let me tell what I think about the book!!!!!!!!!! Mums... anyway... This story my mum says that is a total classic but with some differences... I totally think this author ROCKS! Loved the colours... wanted to play with the book... and my mummy time was amazing while s

The Baby Book Worm Read (TBBWR) #1 and ARC #10 - Pop Lullaby, Andy Gutman

Image
Pop Lullaby By Andy Gutman Published : 23rd January 2018 Genre : Children, Lullaby Edition : PDF Source : ARC Pages : 6 My Rating : 3/5 Goodreads rating : 3.25/5 Read : March 2018 This is a short book of bedtime situations that the author tried to transform into a bedtime story. With strong colours and quite a few drawings, this is a book that you can read very quickly. Honestly, I and mum did not like that much. It does what is suppose to: draws my (baby) attention due to the images and colours. However, mum did not like much the story itself and the images. Price Amazon : £10.02-£17.90, Kindle £4.28 Kobo : £5.73  Conclusion If you want to offer a lullaby book there are a few better books than this. However, we reccomend a book from this author: Charlie and the catterpilar and you can read the review here .

Did not start yet to read them but as soon as I finish each one I will review them for sure! The Book Worm

New sections!

Hello guys! As I told you This last month was chaos. But within the chaos I found time to think about this space and I decided to create two new sections in order to organise the way I blog in here and also to not to let me have too many ARC or kids books to read! So, the new sections of the blog are "ARC read" and "The Baby Book Worm read" , this means: - "ARC Read" - to keep in shape and updated with the ARC that NetGalley has awarded me: - "The Baby Book Worm read" - Books that I read for Baby Book Worm and how he reacts. Of course in this first few months he will not understand much but as I have been writing in several posts it is actually a really good exercise for him. These days he even tries to grab the books and play with them! And of course as usual I have the normal reviews and normal posts as you are used to. I would also like to hear new ideas from you guys in order to improve the blog and keep up to mine and yo

Back to the game

Back to the game My lovely people, I am back to the game! This last few weeks were poor of posts and readings! I am really sorry for that. A series of unfortunate events happened but happy ones as well. The weather didn't help and being away from the routine made my grumpy baby very difficult. I cannot complain much because he is still small and he dealt with all these crazy travelling in a really good mood. Most of the adults would be really mad! In the meantime, I lost my kobo. Or so I think. Have to look for it even in the laundry bags! Anyway.  This week I am back to the game, updating and reading and commenting as much as I can! The Book Worn
